Trollinger Law LLC Honors Southern Maryland First Responders with 2025 Hometown Heroes Awards

Trollinger Law LLC has announced the recipients of its 2025 Hometown Heroes Awards, spotlighting the extraordinary efforts of first responders in Southern Maryland. This year's honorees, Retired Sgt. Gus Proctor, Lt. Everett West, and Carl Schinner, have been acknowledged for their unwavering dedication and significant community impact.

Retired Sgt. Gus Proctor's 30-year tenure in law enforcement has been marked by his pivotal role in community organizing and fundraising, especially for the Special Olympics Maryland. Lt. Everett West, a veteran of the Marine Corps, has been instrumental in launching initiatives such as the Kids and Cruisers Car Show and Shop With a Cop, which have strengthened community relations. Carl Schinner, with nearly 40 years in law enforcement, has pioneered safety programs and advocated for inclusive policing, demonstrating a commitment to serving all community members.

The awards underscore the remarkable influence these individuals have exerted, not just in their professional roles but through their voluntary community service as well. Their actions embody leadership and responsibility, serving as a model for public service. The honorees will be celebrated at DC United games and during Trollinger Law's First Responders Night at the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs game on September 13.
