ERE Media and the CandE Benchmark Research Program have recognized 62 companies worldwide for excellence in candidate experience. The awards, based on feedback from over 230,000 job candidates, highlight organizations that prioritize positive recruitment practices in a challenging hiring landscape.
ERE Media, in collaboration with the CandE Benchmark Research Program, has unveiled the winners of the 2024 Global Candidate Experience Awards. The announcement, made on September 12, 2024, recognizes 62 companies across various industries for their outstanding commitment to providing exceptional candidate experiences during the recruitment process.
The 2024 awards program saw participation from 125 companies worldwide, with over 230,000 job candidates sharing their experiences. This extensive study, the largest of its kind, has evaluated responses from more than 2,000 global employers and 1.8 million job seekers since its inception in 2011.
Winners were determined through a comprehensive data analysis based on candidate satisfaction survey scores. To qualify, companies needed to achieve a statistically significant candidate response rate, with a set proportion of responses coming from candidates who were not hired. The final analysis focused on four key questions that significantly impacted the selection of winners:
1. Candidates' overall ranking of their experience
2. Likelihood of reapplying to the organization in the future
3. Willingness to refer other job seekers to the organization
4. How candidates would change their business relationship with the organization based on their experience
These factors contributed to a final CandE Score for each participating organization. This year, 62 organizations across multiple industries will receive a total of 74 CandE Awards, recognizing their superior candidate experience ratings in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Asia-Pacific (APAC), and Latin America.
The awards highlight a growing emphasis on candidate experience and its value to organizations. Kevin Grossman, ERE Media VP of Research, noted, "Candidate frustration and resentment is the highest we've ever seen in our research, and it continues to be a challenging year for recruiting and hiring professionals around the world due to leaner teams, fewer open jobs, and an increase in applications." He commended the resilience of talent acquisition leaders and their teams in the CandE community for their efforts to improve recruiting, hiring, and candidate experience in a difficult market.
Among the 52 North American winners are notable organizations such as Fannie Mae, Ford Motor Company, and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. The EMEA region saw 10 winners, including Schneider Electric and Société Générale. In the APAC region, 8 companies were recognized, with Intel and IDP Education Ltd among the recipients. Latin America had 4 winners, including Avanade and Schneider Electric.
The complete list of 2024 CandE Winners, along with past year winners, can be found on the ERE Media CandE Winner page. Additionally, winning companies have been invited to share case studies on their unique approaches to improving candidate experience, which will be considered for the new Most Innovative Candidate Experience Improvement Awards at the upcoming ERE Recruiting Conference and CandE Awards Celebration in November 2024.
This recognition comes at a crucial time for the HR industry, as organizations face increasing challenges in attracting and retaining top talent. The awards serve as a benchmark for best practices in candidate experience, offering valuable insights for HR professionals and business leaders looking to enhance their recruitment strategies and employer brand.
As the job market continues to evolve, the importance of a positive candidate experience cannot be overstated. These awards not only celebrate the achievements of leading organizations but also provide a roadmap for others to improve their recruitment processes, ultimately benefiting both employers and job seekers in an increasingly competitive landscape.
