Centre for Neuro Skills Expands Texas Presence with New Plano Clinic to Address Brain Injury Care

The Centre for Neuro Skills (CNS) is set to expand its comprehensive brain injury treatment network with a new clinic in Plano, Texas, addressing a critical healthcare need in the North Texas region. The approximately 20,000-square-foot facility, located at 1649 Dallas Parkway, will open to patients in winter 2025-2026 and represents a strategic response to the area's rapid population growth.

The new clinic underscores the significant impact of brain injuries in Texas, where 144,000 individuals sustain a traumatic brain injury (TBI) annually—approximately one every four minutes. More than 381,000 Texans currently live with TBI-related disabilities, representing 2% of the state's population.

CNS CEO David Harrington emphasized the organization's commitment to meeting high demand for specialized post-acute care, not only serving North Texas but also extending support to neighboring states like Oklahoma. The Plano location will offer advanced rehabilitation services, including vision therapy, neurobehavioral treatment, cognitive retraining, and comprehensive physical and occupational therapy.

Featuring cutting-edge technologies such as the ZeroG® Gait and Balance System and the Bioness Integrated Therapy System, the clinic represents a significant advancement in brain injury rehabilitation. The facility will provide individualized and family counseling, reflecting CNS's patient-centered approach to treatment.

The clinic's strategic location near the Dallas North Tollway and close to area airports positions it to serve a broader population of inpatient, outpatient, day treatment, and residential brain injury patients. This expansion follows recent accreditation by the Behavioral Health Center of Excellence for three of CNS's existing clinics, further validating the organization's commitment to excellence in brain injury treatment.

As brain injuries continue to pose significant medical and economic challenges, with 2.9 million Americans visiting emergency departments annually due to TBI, specialized rehabilitation facilities like this new CNS clinic play a crucial role in supporting patient recovery and improving long-term outcomes.
